Review: This book was okay. The reason that I picked it up was because I had read Samantha Young's Lunarmorte series and loved it. This series not so much. it seems like it takes place way back in the day. There are magical people and soldiers and rulers and such. The main ruler being 17 year old Hayden who is best friends to our main character Lady Rogan. They have been best friends ever since Rogan was ripped away from her family, who were then murdered, and brought back to the castle where Hayden lived. The reason behind this was all magic people were supposed to be brought back to help rule the kingdom.

One day Hayden succumbs to the Sleep disease. To wake her up Rogan must travel across the country to find the plant that will cure this illness before Hayden never wakes up. Rogan is sent with who she called her arch nemesis, Wolfe, the son of the man who slaughtered Rogan's family. She hates him for what happened. Throughout their long journey Rogan learns that Wolfe is not his father and that he secretly has loved her for a long time.
Long story short they fall in love and live happily ever after.
I liked the characters in this story. I feel like they were all strong and held their ground even while facing near death. But I didn't like the love/ hate relationship between Rogan and Wolfe. Well I liked it at first when they didn't like each other but then they fall in love and it got too sappy for me. Then I feel that Wolfe manipulated Rogan into marrying him.
But... Not gonna lie, I will most likely read the second book, just out of curiosity.
