Well that's a lie, I actually won this book, but my review will still be honest.
This is the debut novel by Monika Pardon and was it ever the debut. Before I read th book I didn't really know what it was about, I hadn't read the synopsis, but I was pleasantly surprised. At first, I was thinking yes, it's a modern re- telling of Goldilocks and the three bears but it's so much more! It turns into a very literal fairy tale.
The books main character Sonora (I have no idea how to pronounce this name, hopefully just like its spelt) is awesome. First she saves her cousin from ragging bears and it only gets better from there. Sonora soon realizes that her ice is not what it's seems. Then there are the hot Farr twins who you don't really know what dpside they are one, or if they are evn on the same sides to other very end of the book. There are a ton of other great charters involved wheter good, bad or ugly. There are evn a few tricksters in there making you believe one thing but being something totally different in the end.
Overall this was a pretty good book. At one point in the book I felt like the book hound have either been about Goldilocks or Fae, not both. I got over this fairly quickly. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fairly tales or if you are looking for a lite read.
Thanks Monika for the donation that lead me to this awesome read.

*SPOILER ALERT*
This is the second book in the Witchling Trilogy by the amazing Lizzy Ford and let me just tell you, this book is just as amazing as the first one. In this instalment, Summer is now Autumn due to the unfortunate accident that took place in Dark Summer. Autumn doesn't remember anything from her last life, although she does keep getting glimpses of the past. Unbeknownst to her, Autumn must save herself and Dreker from Darkness. All odds are stacked against them. Who prevails Dark or Light?
I decided that I like Autumn better than Summer because she has overcame more heart ships. For one she survived the terrible accident and now she is "crippled" and she has to find a way to get Deker to save himself from darkness so everyone can be happy. Beck is a better character in this book because he knows what is going on and has to keep it a secret or fear of ruining everything. Also he isn't as much of an ass as he was in the last book. Dawn is still a bitch, but now she is a crazy, pregnant bitch.
This series is top notch! The bad part is now I have to wait for the third book to come out. It comes out in 2013 I just don't know when. It better be soon, or else (shaking fist). Thank you again Lizzy Ford for a great read!!

Release Day Blitz: Forever Fae- L. P. Dover
Synopsis: He leans down, lips parted, and then our lips connect……….We didn’t know that this one kiss has FOREVER changed the Land of the Fae.
According to the Prophecy proclaimed many years ago, Princess Calista of the Summer Court is destined to change the Land of the Fae from the evil determined to destroy it. Her powers are phenomenal, and she secretly trains for battle with her handsome warrior friend, Merrick, who unbeknownst to her protects her heart as well, in hopes of keeping it for himself. At least, until the seductive Prince Ryder attends the Guardian Ceremony and instantly sends a fire burning through her veins and a connection so deep they both discover a love above anything imaginable.
No one knows how Calista is destined to change the kingdoms, but there is one that does. He not only craves Calista’s power, but her body as well, and his goal is to steal her power, make her his Dark Queen, and take over the Land of the Fae.
Will the evil succeed in claiming Calista’s soul? Or will the two men that fight for her heart save her from despair, and help her fulfill her destiny to become what she was meant to be.
Excerpt: “Ryder, I don’t know how or why it is happening so fast, but my heartdoes feel like it belongs to you, and when I saw you tonight, I felt it. The connection is there, and I see it now, but what if it isn’t real?” I pull away from him to walk closer to the crystal blue water of the lake.
He looks at me bewildered. “Why wouldn’t it be real? It feels real to me,” he says while making his way towards me. He’s coming closer and all I want to do is run into his arms and feel his body surround mine. That is what my body is telling me, but how do I find out if that’s what my heart truly feels.
I shrug and say flatly, “I just think we might feel this way because of the Prophecy.” He wraps me in his arms again and tilts my chin up so my eyes settle on his. His eyes look worried and the frown marring his face clearly shows the tension in the lines around his features.
Ryder shakes his head and lets out an exasperated breath, “Why are you trying to fight this, Calista? Whatever we feel is between me and you. No Prophecy or any amount of magic is going to change the way I feel in my heart.” He cups my face with both hands and brings his face closer to mine to where our foreheads are tenderly touching. He breathes lightly against my face and whispers softly, “My heart tells me this is real, and if we can’t believe in our own hearts, then what can we believe in?”
Author Bio: I am an avid reader that loves my collection of books. Writing has always been a passion of mine and now I am glad I get to share my passion with the world. I live in North Carolina with my husband and two beautiful girls. I absolutely love being a southern girl. I spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. I worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with my two beautiful girls. I spent the beginning of my reading years reading suspense thrillers, but now I can't get away from the paranormal/fantasy books. I knew ever since then that if I wrote anything it would be in a paranormal aspect. Now that I have started on my passion and began writing, you will not see me go anywhere without a notebook and pen.

Okay, that was short an snot really what I was expecting. This was almost more of Beck's story than Summer's. good to get that little tidbit of information. Can't wait to start Autumn Storm and she where this leads.

OMG!!! What a freaking amazing book! I wish I could have given this book an even higher rating. This book had me hooked from the beginning and still hasn't let me go. I'm now in love with this series. Honestly, I don't even want to finish my review, I want to start the next one yesterday. LIZZY FORD I WANT TO MARRY YOU!!!! That's how amazing thiss book Is. I'd call it new adult because of the numerous sexy, turn- you-on parts. Not gonna lie, kind of wish I was Summer. This book was the perfect romance. It was so sweet and cute, but powerful and kick- ass at the same time. Also I just want to throw this out there, I HATE DAWN!! I hope she rots in hell for being such a bitch. ( I know she isn't real but i still hate her).
Then there is the ending. The cliff hanger of all cliff hangers, and almost literally. I hated the ending. I definitely would have been bawling my face off if I wasn't at work right now. I really have no negative comments, so I fill up the rest of the space with why this book rock my socks.
- the cover is absolutely breathtaking.
- the hottest make character ever, has a twin and he rides a Harley.
- the main character is a brunette, the villian is a blonde lol
- it contains both, male and female witches
- there are cute animals present
- yeti-like creatures are involved
- cat- fights happen
This was just the most perfect book. You have to read it.
Thanks to LIZZY Ford my new all time favorite author ever!!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was amazing. It was new age, but easy to read and connect like a YA. I reminded me of Hex hall by Rachel Hawkins because it was in a "school setting" with a bunch of different paranormal groups. But it was also like Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Power series, where the characters were "being held captive" then " escaping their enemy".
