Review: I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book, but I did not like the cover. I found it to be too dark and scary for this book. This debut novel was a quick read and it held my attention. This book encompassed different aspects that I found unique, such as King Solomon's Ring. I liked the mystery that this book had about Paige and her father. That is what really kept me reading. Just like any good book, there were twists and turns. Also there was an insta- love present, but there were reasons for that so i didn't mind it.
The characters were well planned out and meshed well together. I could really connect with the main character Paige. I felt her pain. And I know what it feels like to be a "freak" . But I am glad that she was able to overcome it all and become a great character. Nathan was also enjoyable to read about. I could tell his feelings for Paige were genuine. His anger did scare me sometimes, so hopefully in book two he figure that business out and deals with it accordingly. My favourite character was Tree ( Jack). I would totally date him. He was and all around great guy. CArrie and MAtt made things interesting. The whole Tree, Matt and Carrie love triangle is intense. Then Braydan comes along and creates another love triangle. But Braydan creeped me out. Like Paige better lock her doors at night or he might kidnap her kind of way.
So all in all, this was a great read and I will be continuing on with the series. I would recommend this book to paranormal lovers and those who don't mind a bit of romance. . Or to those readers who like uniqueness.
