Blog Tour Review: First Frost- Liz De Jesus

Summary: Fairy tales aren’t real…yeah…that’s exactly what Bianca thought. She was wrong.

For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to “family only.”

Gathered within museum’s walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella’s glass slipper, Snow White’s poisoned apple, the evil queen’s magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty’s enchanted spinning wheel…

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family’s museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn't really exist.

She’s about to find out how wrong she is.

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I really love this cover!! It's so beautiful. I also love the premise of this book. I enjoy fairytales, so this book was great for me. I found the author's descriptions of all the fairytale artifacts great. I also loved that Bianca and Rose owned a fairytale museum, it was so cute! I found this book to be a light and easy read, but also kept the reader interested and wanting more. I liked hearing about what all of the artifacts could do besides being out on display. Plus, there were witches in the story so that made it even better.
The characters were fun to read about. Bianca was my favorite because she was a good girl, she helped her mother out all the time. Then when she learned the secret she didn't let it change who she was. Bianca also made a fantastic heroine because she wasn't going to give up until she got what she wanted. Rose was a good mother to Bianca and I can't wait until book 2 to see what she will teach her next. And Terance the love interest, I can't wait to see where their relationship goes. I hope it goes far. I am also excited to see what other characters Bianca will meet.
I really enjoyed this book. It was light and fluffy but kept me interested throughout. I want to learn so much more about everything and meet more characters and learn their stories. I would recommend this book to fairytale lovers and those looking or a fun read.
