Blog Tour and Review: Baby Gone Bye- Marilee Brothers

Title: Baby Gone Bye
Author: Marilee Brothers
Pages: 210
Format: ebook
Publisher: Bell Bridge Books
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Summary: Available in both paperback and e-versions, Baby Gone Bye tells the story of high school senior Gabe Delgado who is trying to trade his bad boy days for clean living. He remembers nothing about the night a mysterious girl loved and left him at a party except ...
there was kind of magic around her. Now, he finds that "magic" in a basket on his doorstep, cooing at him like a happy little bird. Now, Gabe must not only finish school and try for a basketball scholarship but also keep his daughter safe. Her unique abilities make her highly sought after by the Scientific Academy of Merit, a shadowy organization whose goal is to clone the perfect human specimen. Fortunately, Gabe has the help of next door neighbor, Abby, who has some unique abilities of her own.Review: I received this book free from the publisher via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Baby Gone Bye was a quick and fun read. It had me on the edge of my seat a few times and but it did leave me asking a few questions. What made Gabe give up his party lifestyle? Why did his mom leave? What happened to Lizzie? What happened to all of the other people that were being experimented on? I have so many unanswered questions which I hope will be answered in a second book? And I want to know what the deal is with the blue rose. Besides leaving me with all of these questions, I liked the paranormal element in this story and I enjoyed the twist on the single parent. Oh! One more question, why was Trevor in two scenes and then we don't hear about him again? Otherwise I liked most if the characters, I thought they were all well developed and I want and need more of their stories!
I will definitely be picking up the next instalment, well if there is one. I would recommend this novel to paranormal lovers who are looking for something a little different.
