Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.i didn't really know what to make of this story. It reminded me of Sherlock Holmes with a paranormal twists. I also felt like it could have been a Steampunk novel, minus anything Steampunk haha. It just that feel to it. This was an interesting story but I felt it was very up and down entertainment wise. I would be bored, then the story would pick up, then I would be bored again. I did enjoy the mystery and suspense.also I really liked hearing all of the character's stories, where they came from and how they ended up where they are now. I really hope that there is a second book or little novellas of what happened to the characters after the book ended. The downside to all of the characters was that there were so many to keep track of and some had similar names which occasionally got me confused on who was who. But it did enjoy listening to the characters stories, most of which were quite sad.
Like I mentioned previously, I would read more stories about these characters, because they were very interesting and I want to know more. I would recommend this book to paranormal lovers.

why no comments yet?? "A Paranormal Gothic Detective novel?" Someone understands that genres can be pigeon-holing and that you can creatively break out and/or cross genres, and no one wants to give Katie a shout-out??
