Review #239: Fragile Facade- Sophie Davis

Title: Fragile Facade
Author: Sophie Davis
Pages: 80
Format: ebook
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Summary: Raven Ferragamo is starting a new life. Taking a year off after high school, she moves to Washington, D.C., leaving her childhood friends, her family, and her problems behind. The clean break with her past starts off better than she dreamed when a hunky neighbor offers to be her D.C. tour guide. For the first time in her short life, Raven really feels as though anything is possible.
Lark Kingsley had the perfect family, the perfect future, the perfect life. Born and raised in affluent Manhattan society, she was bred for success. Lark had it all. Until one day things go terribly wrong, and she vanishes without a trace.
In the midst of a nationwide hunt for the heiress, Raven happens upon Lark’s diary. Without warning, she is drawn in to the life of a girl with many secrets. Lark knew of the fate that would befall her before she ever disappeared. Her desperate pleas for help draw Raven in to a labyrinth of lies, money, deceit and horror. Seemingly coming from different worlds, the two have more in common than either could ever imagine.
Fragile Facade is the third Volume of the Blind Barriers Serial Series. Written by Sophie Davis, author of the Talented Saga and the Nightmares Trilogy, this volume is the length of a long novella - approx 75 pages. Additional volumes will be released every three to five weeks throughout Spring and Summer 2014.
Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I love this cover! Purple is my favourite colour and the girl is gorgeous in an old time, regal way. I like this instalment in the serial because we finally get a bit of what is going on with Lark, not a lot, but enough to speculate. This on didn't have too much about Raven, when it was her 'parts" it was her mostly reading Lark's journal. I'm really enjoying this "onion" of a story, I love peeling back the layers and learning more but also being left even more curious about what is to come.
I would recommend these serials to those looking for a good mystery, suspense story.
