Wow!! I have no idea what to say about this book. It was disturbingly perfect! White Chalk covered so many issues that teens deal with, but it was all happening to the same person. It was such an I tense read and was definitely an emotional roller coaster. I had so many feelings raging through me, ranging from disgust to heartbreak. I have so many questions. Why'd did the story have to go in that direction? Why did no one step up and try to save Chelle? Where was her support? How did everyone miss the signs? This was just a very powerful story. And WHY did it end right before I find out what happens????? I can assume but. Am hoping for the best. PLEASE HAVE A SECOND BOOK!!!
I would not recommend this to the faint of heart. There is not a happy ending. I would say it is a cliffhanger because different things could happen after the book ended. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!! This will drive me crazy forever. If you want to read a great book that isn't your average cookie cutter YA read, grab this book.
