Summary: When you have a job to do, you have to do it well. You have to send the demons back to Hell!
At the stroke of midnight on Jacob Rowan’s 18th birthday, he undergoes a transformation that will change our world forever, if only he can survive another day. He learns that his entire life up to this point was a lie, but there’s no time to dwell on it, as he quickly discovers that there are demons desperate to kill him.
With the help of an unlikely mentor and newly formed alliances, he must decipher the language of his ancestors to recover a set of ancient scrolls. These documents hold the key that will open the gateway to the demon's hellish world and send them back before the final curtain is drawn on all of humankind.

Review: Rune by J.H. Glaze was another book in the Sweet 16 Summer Splash challenge that I participated in.
I didn't really find this book to be horror, more of a suspense, thriller, mystery. I do understand that it was supposed to have a scare element to it. It was a short and easy read. I was kept interested throughout and when I was finished I was left wanting more. I enjoyed the characters for the brief time that we spent together. I really want to learn more about Gerlock!! Where did he come from? Why a dog? Why Jake? Hopefully more answers will be given with each new instalment.
I would recommend this novella to J.H. Glaze fans and also to anyone who enjoys suspense, mystery thrillers with a hint of horror. I will definitely read the next book in the series.
