Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the second novel written by Angela Carlie, but the first in The Lord of Shifters Series. In this book the story is told by Jess, who comes from a long line of immortals. She soon learns that there are more creatures out there then immortals.
This is a great read for YA and even adults. I would say mature YA due to the sexual content and some awesomely, gruesome descriptions. I found the story to be an easy read, but had enough action and funny parts to keep me interested and wanting more. Although, if you are scared of spiders beware.
I enjoyed the characters. I liked the bickering/ sexual tension between Jess and Johnnie. Also Nicu is so mysterious and i want to know what his deal is. I can't wait to see what happens to this love triangle. Also Sizma, she's confusing, therefore i want to learn her side. Lora is also a great character. Her and Jess are two peas in a pod and i want to know if their friendship is strong enough to withstand all the crap that is happening.
Overall, this is a great paranormal read. I love getting to learn about more then one paranormal creature. I would recommend this book to paranormal lovers. Also I want to say that I love the cover! Thank you Angela Carlie for the great read.

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Well actually i already had it sitting on my kindle waiting to be read, or I would have received it for free. Now that I have read it, I can't for the life of me understand why I waited so long to read it. This is the first book that Angela Carlie wrote in the Lords of Shifters Series, but moved it to be the second novel. I personally liked this book better than Spider Wars. I don't really know why I just liked the story better. I felt it moved faster and flowed better. This book was a shifter novel twisted into a fairytale and I loved it.
As for the characters, I enjoyed how the book was written from Lora's point of view, because now we learn about the whole other side of the story from The Spider Wars. In this novel you learn everything that you were dying to know about Lora in the first book. She is a great main character. She is so down to earth and never judges. Even when her world is turned upside down she embraces it, instead of giving up. Chance is Lora's love interest and everything about him is swoon worthy except I keep having trouble with his name. Every time I read "Chance" I think of the dog from the Homeward Bound movie. Otherwise, he is the epitome of a gentleman and his and Lora's relationship could really heat up. There are also more secondary characters involved but the main characters are showcased.
Overall, another great read from Angela Carlie. I can't wait to get my hands on the two novellas that she has out.
