FIRST I NEED TO VENT!!! HOW COULD YOU H.D. GORDON?? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME??? THAT WAS THE WORST CLIFFHANGER ENDING EVER KNOWN TO BOOKWORMS!!! I WANT TO GO WARRIOR ON SOMEONE'S ASS!!!! Okay, end of rant. Wow, just wow! This book was amazing. I loved everything about it except getting to the end and not having book two. This novel contained everything that I love a epic book to have, paranormal creatures, love trapezoids, kick- ass heroine, hot guys, crazy dictator leaders, and super awesome mysteries. Ahh book orgasm. The world of gladiators with paranormal and a dystopian feel pulls you in and doesn't let go. 

The characters are amazing! I love Alexa, she is strong (literally haha), brave and has an awesome attitude. She will do anything for anyone needing help she is that nice and caring. She wants to help everybody even if it takes its toll on her. Kayden, Kayden, Kayden. He is my new book crush. Him and his blonde ponytail and gladiator ways yum yum ( wiping drool from chin, pinching self from day dreaming). Unfortunately he loves Alexa, so much that he would die for her ( kind of hard for me to weasel my way in between that). But if they do hook up I will live vicariously through Alexa. And sweet Nelly, Alexa's younger wiser sister. She is so young to know what she knows and has to deal with, but still she has that innocence and slight naivety to her, I love it. 

I recommend this book to EVERYONE!! It's hot, without being too hot. It's the shit!!! Seriously, best book of 2013 that I have read yet. I can't even explain how good it is. I wil be having withdrawals until I get my hot hands on book 2. I want my fix now :'( but I want to thank H.D. Gordon even though my heart broke with this ending.
