Review #74: The Secret Seekers Society and the Beast of Bladenboro- J. L. Hickey

Title: The Secret Seekers Society and the Beast of Bladenboro
Author: J. L. Hickey
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
As soon as I read the synopsis for this book I knew that I would enjoyed it and that I needed to read it. The Secret Seekers Society and the Beast of Bladenboro lived up to my expectations. This book was an easy read because it was so exciting and the imagination was so vivid. I literally could not put the book down because it was that awesome. It reminded me a little bit of Harry Potter in the fact that I can see this book being the next big epic series.
The author has started the characters off younger which I liked because if this is a series I like to watch the characters grow and educate themselves. I loved reading about Hunter and Elly . They seem like really intelligent characters and like they will go far in these books. I also loved that Elly was a bookworm, a girl after my own heart. Hunter has an adventurous streak that has already got him in trouble and no doubly will get him in so more. I want to be there to experience this quest or quests with them. We are also introduced to some other characters who I feel will be big parts in future books and I can't wait to see if I am correct.
I loved reading this book. I got caught up in the mysterious manor and all the mythical creatures that we became familiarized with. I would recommend this read the kids and adults and anyone who loves the Harry Potter feel to a book. I will definitely be continuing the series. I look forward to learning more about the charcters and what they will soon face.
