Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the second novel in The In Between series by Catherine Converse that I have been lucky enough to read. Like any good sequel, this book starts off right where book one ended. The cover for Fade to Silver is striking and fits the story to a tee. I actually enjoyed this story more than book one. I felt like it had more going for it. There was action, mysteries and romance. Oh and remember that love triangle I talked about, it's still going strong.
This novel introduced some new characters, whom I grew to really like and can't wait to learn more about  and to see if they will stick around for book three. I found this book to be more of Dannika's story which I loved because she is so kick ass! She is always willing to put herself in harms way if it means saving someone else. She also had a lotto prove to the group after book one and I felt like she did it. Somehow the author managed to get me to hate Rens the evil villain, but at the same time feel sorry for him. Aide wasn't present too much in this instalment, but when she was, wowza!
I am really enjoying this series and I can't wait to continue on with book three, which has another awesome cover. I would again recommend this book to fantasy and sci-fi lovers. I can't wait to see  what becomes of that love triangle.

Synopsis: Two girls with opposing backgrounds join in a secret intelligence agency located deep in the earth to remain hidden from society, where their psychic dreams are used to prevent murder. As the girls form a unique friendship, they begin to dream about the same serial case, triggering a chaos that spirals through the agency tunnels. They discover that the agency may not be all that it seems, and the lives that they need to save are their own.

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this novel. It gave a fresh and modern take on "mole people" haha. But super cool idea! It really made me think how science could evolve and do crazy stuff with people's minds.this book had lots of action and some moments of slowness but a good read none the less. There were tiny bits of romance but nothing too extreme. But the ending did lead me to believe that a love triangle is in the making. I only wish that we got to see more dreams and about more crimes.
Adie was a good character. Se was the new kid on the block for IPA and fit in nicely. Aide also earned her spot on the team.  Dannika was the wild card of the group. No one really knew what to expect from her, but she was amazing at her job. The other characters didn't have too big of parts to play, but hopefully in book two we meet those characters again and learn more about them.
I am definitely going to carry on with this series because I want more. I want to know what happens with the love interests. This is a great start to The In Between series. I would recommend this book to fantasy and sci-fi lovers.

Author Bio:
Catherine Converse lives with her husband and four children in beautiful Montana. She squeaked by with a Business Degree at Carroll College, only to realize (while glancing back at transcripts years later) that the only A’s she got were in Writing and Literature classes.
She wishes there were more hours in the day (who doesn’t, right), and that her mind would just shut down sometimes.
If not writing, or researching, she would really like to be outside with her family, and preferably on her snowboard. Or just petting their horses.
Grateful for such a blessed life, she just hopes to bring stories of all kinds to life, and enjoyment to those who read them.
Catherine owns and operates Golden Dot Publishing, an independent publishing company.
